In advance of accession to the EU, the Maltese Ministry of Finance and Customs Department requested Rush partner, Peter Rose, to conduct a one-week communications training seminar. The advice Peter Rose gave was that the project should be conducted in two phases. First, he should undertake a comprehensive communications audit among internal and external stakeholders. And second, the audit results should be used to design and deliver a subsequent communications seminar. Peter Rose subsequently designed and delivered a 3-day seminar which was attended by senior staff Among the topics covered were: the views of stakeholders (including customers, the media and staff); reputation management; removing barriers to effective communications; forward plan for communications following EU accession. A series of recommendations were developed and owned by management. |
